Introducing the LaunchIt Community: Where Founders Talk After Launch Day

A feed built for founders who ship: post updates, ask for honest feedback, and trade launch lessons with makers who are building alongside you.

Introducing the LaunchIt Community: Where Founders Talk After Launch Day

Launch day is loud and then it is over. The traffic spike lasts about forty eight hours, the comments dry up, and the founder who was in ten conversations on Tuesday is back to talking to nobody by Friday. That is the part of launching nobody warns you about.

A directory listing solves discovery. It does not solve the thing that happens after: the quiet stretch where you are still building, still stuck on the same onboarding screen, and there is nobody around who understands why that matters.

So we built one. The LaunchIt Community is now live.

What it is

A single feed where founders post what they are working on. Not a support forum, not a Slack you will mute in a week, and not a place to drop a link and leave. It is closer to a workshop than a broadcast channel.

Every post can be liked, commented on, and shared. Every post has its own permanent page at a short URL, so a discussion worth reading stays findable instead of scrolling into oblivion. Posts are sorted by Latest or Hot, where Hot balances engagement against age so a good thread from this morning can outrank a popular one from last week.

What is worth posting

The best posts in any maker community share one quality: they are specific. Here is what tends to work:

  • An update with a number in it. Not "making progress" but "went from 40 signups to 60 after rewriting the homepage headline".
  • A launch that went badly, and why. These are the most useful posts on the internet and the rarest, because they cost something to write.
  • A screen you cannot get right. Post it and ask. Somebody has already solved your onboarding problem.
  • A number that surprised you. Conversion rates, churn, the percentage of visitors who never scroll. Real data from a real product beats any blog post about benchmarks.

What does not work is the thing everybody tries first: the announcement with a link and nothing else. It gets ignored here for the same reason it gets ignored everywhere.

Anyone with an account can post and comment. Attaching an image or a link is reserved for verified makers, meaning founders who have claimed a premium or featured listing on LaunchIt.

That line exists for one reason. Link posting is the first thing spam accounts reach for, and a feed full of drive by promotion is worth nothing to the people it is meant to serve. Tying attachments to a claimed listing means there is a real product and a real person behind anything with an image or a URL in it.

If you have launched a premium product on LaunchIt, those tools are already unlocked on your account.

How it connects to launching

The community is not separate from the rest of LaunchIt. It is the part that runs between launches.

Before you launch, it is where you get the honest read on your positioning that your friends will not give you. During launch week, it is where the people who already know what you are building show up to look. After launch, when the spike is gone and you are back to the slow work, it is where you post the update that keeps you accountable.

A launch is a moment. A community is what makes the moment repeatable.

If you are getting ready to launch, we also put together a product launch checklist covering the four weeks before launch, the day itself, and the month that decides whether it mattered.

The rules, which are short

  • Share your own work and progress.
  • Give the kind of feedback you would want to receive.
  • No spam, no engagement bait.

That is the whole list. Everything else is judgement.

Start here

Open the community feed, read what other founders are working on, and reply to one of them properly before you post your own thing. That is the fastest way into any community and it works every time.

Then tell us what you are building. If it is ready for a wider audience, launch it on LaunchIt and let the community decide what rises.
