About

Overview

Pebblehug creates personalized picture books for kids ages 3–6, starring your child and Mom or Dad. Upload one photo of each of you, and you both appear as illustrated characters throughout a story written for reading aloud together.

Each story is written around one relationship, not a template with names swapped.
The art is made to feel like a real picture book: expressive linework, watercolor-like washes and warm paper textures keep small gestures and shared moments in focus.

Every book has 17 pages: a cover, a dedication with your child's name, 14 illustrated spreads and a closing page.

See a free personalized preview before you pay. After a one-time purchase with no subscription, read together online or download a printable Story PDF. Your photos are used only to make your book, never for AI training, and are deleted on request.

PebbleHug in a Nutshell

Who is it for?

Parents of young children (ages 3–6) who want a personalized, family-oriented story featuring their child and a caregiver.

Problem

Parents often struggle to find engaging, age-appropriate stories that reflect their own family dynamics. Generic templates miss the personal connection, and physical books can be costly or hard to share digitally.

Solution

Gavin creates personalized picture books by turning photos of your child and a parent into illustrated characters within an original story focused on a single relationship. After a one-time purchase, you can read online together or download a printable Story PDF, with a free preview available before purchase.

What makes it unique

Unlike templated personalization, Gavin writes each story around one relationship, ensuring authentic, tailored moments rather than swapped names. The art combines expressive linework with watercolor-like washes to feel like a real picture book, plus a dedicated dedication page and a printable option. Photos are used solely to create the book and are deleted on request, with no subscription required.

Why I built PebbleHug
I'm a dad. When my kid was three, I heard "Dad, look!" a dozen times a day, and I knew these little years would pass fast. My kid lit up at any drawing of themselves, yet every bedtime book was someone else's story. So I started Pebblehug to write picture books where a child and Mom or Dad appear in the story together, made to be read side by side.

Hi everyone! I'm the dad behind Pebblehug. When my kid was three, I heard "Dad, look!" a dozen times a day: a puddle after the rain, a cloud shaped like a bunny, ants moving house along the wall. I also noticed how my kid lit up seeing themselves drawn as a character. Pebblehug grew out of both: picture books where your child and Mom or Dad appear in the story together, made for reading side by side. How it works: • Choose a story: "Dad, Look!", where a walk turns into an adventure led by your child's discoveries, or "Mom, Will You Miss Me Too?", about a day apart that still feels connected. • Upload one photo of your child and one of the parent. You both become illustrated characters, drawn with expressive lines and watercolor-like washes. • See a free personalized preview before you pay. • After a one-time $15.90 purchase (before tax, no subscription), read together online and download a printable Story PDF. It's a digital book for ages 3–6; nothing ships. Since this involves kids' photos: they're used only to make and check your book, never for ads, sale or AI training, and you can ask us to delete them. Two things I'd love your help with: 1. If you try the preview, does it feel like the two of you? Honest feedback helps me improve the likeness and the art. 2. Which relationship should we write for next: grandparents, siblings, or something else? And if you write or illustrate for families and this resonates, I'd love to hear from you at [email protected]. Thanks for taking a look!
