The launch week I'd plan if I were you
Hey,
Most launch advice is about the day itself. The founders who get the most out of a launch treat it as a week: a few things before, one big day, and a few things after.
Here's the week I'd plan if I were launching this month. Steal it.
DAY -7: PICK YOUR DATE Pick a day you can be online from morning to evening, and lock it in. Everything else gets planned backwards from it. On LaunchIt, a Premium launch ($14.99) lets you choose any open day, as soon as tomorrow.
DAY -5: WRITE YOUR ONE-LINER Say what it does, in plain words, and for whom. "Turns meeting notes into a task list" beats "AI-powered productivity platform" every time. Test it on someone who has never seen your product. If they can't repeat it back, rewrite it.
DAY -3: GET YOUR PAGE READY Logo, three good screenshots, pricing, the team behind it. Your LaunchIt listing has room for all of it, and you can edit it yourself from your dashboard. Changes go live instantly.
DAY -1: LINE UP YOUR PEOPLE Write your post for X and LinkedIn tonight, not tomorrow morning. Then message the ten people most likely to try it. Ask them for feedback, not upvotes. Feedback gets replies, and replies turn into users.
DAY 0: LAUNCH Premium launches sit on the LaunchIt home page all day with a verified badge, and go out in this newsletter to 1,400+ subscribers. Your job today is simple: reply to every comment, the same day.
DAY +1: SHARE YOUR LISTING, NOT JUST YOUR SITE Your listing shows your upvotes and comments, the kind of social proof your own homepage can't. Put the link in your bio, your email signature and your next post.
DAY +3: GET LISTED EVERYWHERE ELSE Launch day brings the spike. Directories are where people go looking for a tool like yours, long after launch day. If you'd rather not fill in the same form a hundred times, we do it for you: 30, 60 or 100+ directories, submitted by hand in 3 to 5 business days, with a report of every live link. From $99, one payment.
DAY +7: SHARE YOUR NUMBERS Post a short "week one" update: visitors, signups, what surprised you. Founders love real numbers, and it gives everyone who missed your launch a second chance to find you.
That's the week.
