About

Overview

Market Verdict is a business idea validator for founders and early-stage teams who want consistent decision support. It provides a single viability score so users can compare ideas and track assessments over time.

The tool applies a repeatable scoring model and pulls lightweight public market signals like location geocoding and competitor density. Outputs include a 0โ€“100 viability score, revenue and profit ranges with break-even months, an action plan of validation steps, and exportable analyses in PDF or TXT formats.

Users get a structured, comparable evaluation rather than one-off prose. The result is clearer, data-informed guidance to pressure-test demand, assess risk factors, and prioritize which ideas to validate next.

At a glance

Market Verdict in a Nutshell

Who is it for?

Founders and early-stage teams seeking data-driven, comparable viability assessments for multiple business ideas.

Problem

Founders often rely on one-off qualitative judgments when evaluating ideas, making it hard to compare concepts or track progress over time. This leads to inconsistent decisions and delayed validation. There is a need for a repeatable, data-informed score that can guide prioritization and actions.

Solution

Market Verdict provides a single 0โ€“100 viability score plus revenue/profit ranges and break-even estimates, all derived from a repeatable scoring model and lightweight public market signals. It outputs an action plan and exportable analyses to help founders pressure-test demand and prioritize validation steps.

What makes it unique

Unlike generic checklists or narrative analyses, Market Verdict standardizes evaluation across ideas with a measurable score and comparable outputs. It uses lightweight signals like location geocoding and competitor density to inform decisions, enabling tracking over time and consistent comparisons.

I build software for a living and I kept watching people โ€” including me โ€” spend months on ideas that a couple of hours of honest research would have killed. The problem isn't that founders skip validation. It's that validation is boring, unstructured, and you're the worst possible judge of your own idea. So it gets postponed until it becomes a sunk cost. Market Verdict is my attempt to make that first pass take ten minutes instead of a weekend. You describe the business, it runs an analysis and gives you a viability score, a verdict, and the specific findings behind it โ€” market conditions, competitive density, the assumptions your idea is resting on. It's opinionated on purpose. A tool that tells everyone "promising, with challenges" is worth nothing. The biggest thing that changed was the front door. The original build made you create an account before you got anything. That's the standard playbook and it was wrong here: someone who isn't sure the tool works has no reason to hand over an email first. So now the analysis runs for anyone, and you see the score, the verdict, and one real finding before you sign up for anything. If the free half isn't useful on its own, I haven't earned the rest. The other lesson was smaller but stuck with me: people don't want a chat transcript, they want a document. So results export to PDF with a verification code, because the actual use is sending it to a partner or a lender, not reading it on screen. It's in 10 languages. Built solo in Go. Happy to answer anything โ€” including where it gets things wrong, which is the feedback I'd most like from this crowd.
