- Terms: content must be "on-topic, of high-quality, and is not designed primarily for the purposes of promotion or creating backlinks"
- #showdev guidelines: "Please make posts community-driven and not overly corporate or salesy"
- Affiliate links must be clearly disclosed
- The Code of Conduct requires "disclosing AI assistance if used to create content", and the AI guidelines say AI-assisted articles should not "Promote any business, program, or course (including your own)"
- Posting mainly to build backlinks for another site can lead to suspension or a ban, with an exception for personal blogs or company blogs shared under official organization accounts

Tips
Getting the most out of DEV Community
- Tag launch posts #showdev and frame them around what you built and how, since the tag asks for posts that are not "overly corporate or salesy".
- If you cross-post from your own blog, set the canonical URL in the post settings, as DEV's help pages explain.
- If AI helped write the post, say so, and don't use an AI-assisted post to promote your own product.
